Following in Ahli's footsteps, Zamalek say their game with Ismaili should not be aired unless the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) fulfills its financial obligations towards them.

Three days ago, Ahli threatened not to broadcast the anticipated Cairo derby with Zamalek and their other home matches because of a financial dispute with ERTU.

The controversial announcement promoted a verbal jousting between both sides before the Whites added fuel to fire few days later.

Zamalek stated that their upcoming league match might not be televised live too till they get their overdue payments.

"We support Ahli's decision to make such a threat," Zamalek's board member Tarek Ghoniem told FilGoal.com.

"This should oblige the Egyptian Radio and Television Union to pay the clubs the legal fees of the matches.

"There will be a meeting with the union on Saturday and if we don't reach an agreement, we might well not air our game with Ismaili."

ERTU chief Osama Al-Sheikh said in the wake of Ahli's threat that no club can prevent the live airing of the league matches.

It's understood that ERTU owes Ahli EGP eight million.
