Arab Contractors have appointed Ivica Todorov as new head coach, following the sacking of tactician Hamza Al-Gamal on Sunday.

"Todorov has an impressive résumé and vast experience, which he gained from the time he spent in the Middle East and Africa," Contractors' football director Amr Aboul-Magd told FilGoal.com.

"We were lucky because he wasn't under contract. He should be the right man to help us save what's left of our league campaign.

"We have only eight points. We are far from stable and that's why we decided to bring in such a high-profile coach."

Al-Gamal was the second manager to be fired by the Mountain Wolves in less than 10 weeks.

He was installed in August, succeeding Mohamed Amer who was given the sack after just one match.

French-Serbian boss Todorov, 60, worked with many French clubs as well as Burkina Faso and Congo.

He was also hired by Tunisia's Etoile, Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and Ahli Dubai among other outfits.

Contractors, who have only won two league games thus far, lie in penultimate place with eight points.
