The second-division outsiders have once again been drawn against Zamalek in the round of 32, which saw them oust the Cairo giants with a 1-0 victory in Mansoura two years ago.
While Zamalek have a chance to retaliate their embarrassing defeat, Abdul-Hamid's team look fearless.
"I am very happy to face my former club. I hope to demonstrate my abilities as a manager with Bani Obeid," the man who scored the winning goal in Zamalek's 2002 Champions League triumph told FilGoal.com.
"The new players could be nervous of facing Zamalek, but the presence of some players who achieved victory in 2008 could help.
"Zamalek are a good side, but they are known to us and we fear nothing. We will be ready to play before their fans at Cairo Stadium."
Bani Obeid will start their preparation for the Zamalek clash with a special camp next week as the date of the fixture has yet to be announced.
Difference
On the other hand, Zamalek assistant coach Tarek Soliman seemed to be unfazed by the infamous defeat of 2008, stressing on the great difference between both sides.
"There is a great difference between both clubs in terms of pedigree, history, rank and quality," said Soliman.
"With all due respect to Bani Obeid, all they've got was that victory over Zamalek amid some abnormal circumstances.
"Now we have a much better team than the one who lost that game. We are technically stable and the players are increasingly improving."
Zamalek's defeat at Mansoura Stadium was the one-and-only that saw the cup holders eliminated by a third division team.
