The Egyptian FA has set the 31st of December 2010 as the date for the postponed Cairo derby clash between Ahli and Zamalek.

The big game, which was initially scheduled for the 26th of November, has been moved due to the elections of the People's Assembly.

FA chairman Samir Zaher said on Saturday that the match will be played before 2011; a statement that relieved Zamalek boss Hossam Hassan.

Hassan said last week that it would be unfair if the game was played in January after both teams have made their winter signings.

Zamalek are currently on top of the league table with a better goal difference than their arch-rivals, who have a game in hand.
