Bulgarian Nikolay Angelov will referee Egypt's friendly game against Australia, the Egyptian FA announced on Sunday.

The EFA said on their official website that Angelov has been chosen to officiate at Wednesday's game at Cairo Stadium.

The 41-year-old has been an international referee since 2003.

It will be the second time both sides meet after Australia won 4-3 on penalties in a friendly tournament in 1987.

Egypt face Australia in their first match after slumping to a shock 1-0 defeat at tiny Niger in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
