Zamalek striker Amr Zaki is struggling to be fit for next month's derby clash with Ahli due to a troublesome knee.

The Egypt striker, who missed the recent league games against Police Union, Gaish and Ismaili, will have a rehab program in Germany until the date of the big game on December 31.

"It is a ligament problem, but he doesn't need surgery," Zaki's agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com.

"He will have treatment in Germany after ten days for at least three weeks before he can resume full training."

Zaki's fitness has repeatedly been a factor hindering the progress of the robust forward, who had an unsuccessful loan spell at Hull City last term.

The 27-year-old was forced to miss Egypt's Confederations Cup campaign last year, as well as the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
