Carlos Cabral has stepped as the manager of Ittihad, following a string of poor results, the Alexandrian club said.

The Brazilian handed in his resignation on Monday, one day after Ittihad suffered their fifth defeat in ten games at ENPPI.

The Alexandrians are now third from bottom, but have a game in hand that could see them pop out of the danger zone should they win.

"We have shortlisted a number of names to succeed Cabral," Ittihad chairman Mohamed Moselhi told FilGoal.com.

"There is Mohamed Amer, Ismail Youssef, Diaa Al-Sayed and the German Theo Buecker."
