The Qatar forward dislocated his shoulder in a Gulf Cup of Nations match with Saudi Arabia, much to the frustration of his club who didn’t approve his departure in the first place.
“I had this injury before and I think I need two weeks of rehab and working in the gym,” Yasser told FilGoal.com.
“There is no need for surgery because I don’t want to be absent for a long time.
Yasser is expected to miss Zamalek’s upcoming matches against Ittihad and Bani Obeid, as well the friendly between Egypt and Qatar on December 16th.
“I was hoping to play the game against Egypt, but the Ahli game is more important and I don’t want to be hasty,” added the 28-year-old.
Yasser will return to Cairo on Tuesday to start rehabilitation, but is not expected to get the warmest of welcomes by his club.
A ‘heavy fine’ is awaiting the skilful forward after leaving for Yemen without Zamalek’s consent this month.
