The Egypt forward was once again an unused sub as Dortmund cemented their position on top of the Bundesliga table with a 2-0 victory at Nurnberg.
“I am not worried that I don’t play at the moment. I don’t want to be hasty with my return,” Zidan, who returned from a six-month layoff last month, told Dortmund’s website.
“The most important thing is to be ready when I am needed.
“I really hope to help Dortmund against my former club (Bremen). Another win would be a major boost for us.
“Winning eight straight games away from home is a clear evidence that of our progress.”
Zidan, who was a regular for Juergen Klopp’s side last term, has yet to make his first league appearance this season, even though Dortmund are currently without first-choice striker Lucas Barrios.
The Black Yellows are ten points ahead of second-placed Mainz and a superb 17 above defending champions Bayern Munich.
