Ahli veteran Ahmed Hassan will not be hasty deciding his future with the Red Devils as he prefers to wait until the end of his current contract.

The 36-year-old, who is currently on rehab after knee surgery, will run out of contract at the end of the season.

“No one from the club has spoken with me yet. Ahli have the right to wait and see until I fully recover from injury,” the Egypt captain said.

“Personally, I prefer to wait until the end of the season before making a decision regarding my future.

“When I left Anderlecht to Ahli in 2008, I waited until the final day of my contract before signing for Ahli.”

Hassan joined Ahli on a free transfer two seasons ago, but did not have the best of relationships with former manager Hossam Al-Badri.

The veteran midfielder insisted after his long-term injury that he is not considering retirement any time soon.
