Ahli are set to test Ghanaian-Dutch striker Muhamadu Ibad in Thursday’s friendly match against third division Goldi, FilGoal.com understands.

Ibad, 28, is a Dutch striker of Ghanaian and Surinamese descent who last played for US lower division side Portland Timbers.

The Amsterdam-born player represented several European clubs throughout his nine-year professional career so far, most notably Belgian outfit Cercle Brugge of Belgium and Twente and Willem II from Holland.

Ahli are in search of a striker in the January transfer window amid the misfiring of most of their frontline so far this term.

Excluding Geddo, strikers Mohamed Fadl, Francis Doe, Mohamed Talaat, Osama Hosni and Mohamed Ghaddar have only scored one goal between them in the last 11 league outings.

The league champions, who are on a four-match winless streak, face cup holders Harras Hodoud next week in a rescheduled fixture.
