Masri new boss Alain Geiger promises more progress from his team after registering a precious victory over MCDR in his first game in charge.

A late goal from striker Mohamed Khalifa helped the Port-Said club move to the top half of the Egyptian Premier League table to finish the year in seventh place.

“I am very happy with the performance of the players. They were accomplished against a tough opponent, “Swiss coach Geiger, who was appointed as manager ten days ago, told FilGoal.com.

“We will have two camps the upcoming break, one in Hurghada and the other in Morocco.

“I promise our fans that the performance will be even better after that.”

Masri had a bright start to the season under manager Mokhtar Mokhtar, who suddenly resigned last month after a home defeat to Smouha.
