Ittihad want to run the rule over Zamalek's out-of-favor defender Mohamed Younes in the January transfer window.

"Ittihad have tabled an offer for me," Younes told FilGoal.com. "(Agent) Mohamed Shiha sat down with Zamalek's officials and the negotiations are still underway.

"They offered EGP 400,000 to secure my services while (Zamalek's marketing director) Ashraf Sobhi said the bid has to be raised to 750,000.

"Zamalek's financial demands are too high I would say but both parties are still trying to meet halfway."

Former Ismaili man Younes also revealed that Police Union had approached him of late but kept the details of their offer undisclosed.

The 31-year-old joined Zamalek from Egypt Telecom in the summer for EGP 950,000 but has barely featured for the Cairo side this season.
