Zamalek striker Mohamed Amine Aoudia is looking forward to encountering Ahli's backline duo Wael Gomaa and Sherif Abdul-Fadil in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Algerian ace completed his move to the Whites from homeland side JS Kabylie for a fee of $1million late last month.

He played against Egypt internationals Gomaa and Abdul-Fadil in the CAF Champions League when Kabylie locked horns with Ahli in the group stage last year.

"I want to play in the Egyptian league in order to develop my capabilities," 24-year-old Aoudia told Modern TV.

"Facing defenders like Wael Gomaa, Sherif Abdul-Fadil and (former Ismaili defender) Moatasem Salem is a challenge that I relish.

"I encountered them before in the Champions League. They are some of most prominent defenders in the Arab World and Africa.

"When I came to Egypt with Kabylie, I really liked the country. I hoped I could ply my trade here.

"Thank God, my dream came true when I joined such a great club like Zamalek."
