"It's over now. I agreed with Ajax's officials to annul my deal," the towering man told FilGoal.com.
"Now I'm a free to join any other club in the current winter transfer window.
"I received several offers from Spain and England that I'm now considering."
FilGoal.com learned that Mido is close to joining La Liga outfit Deportivo Lacuruna on a permanent basis till the summer of 2013.
The 27-year-old rejoined Ajax, the club he flourished at when he was a teenager, on a season-long loan from Middlesbrough last summer.
He made a handful of appearances for the Dutch giants this season under veteran manager Martin Jol, whom he also worked with at Tottenham Hotspur.
Franck de Boer took Ajax's helm right after Jol, who mainly relied on Mounir El Hamdaoui and Luis Suarez upfront, stepped down early in December.
For a while Mido was expected to be given more first-team opportunities as De Boer revealed he usually deploys a three-pronged attack.
But the ex-Barcelona player, who was first appointed as caretaker coach before signing another deal that will keep him at Amsterdam Arena till 2014, left Mido confined to the bench.
He's convinced the former Zamalek prodigy is still suffering from fitness problems, saying he needs more time to hit peak form.
The charismatic lad scored three goals for Ajax this term.
It's understood that Spanish side Espanyol are also interested in landing Mido, while his English suitors remain unknown.
