Egypt succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to U-17 African Championship hosts Rwanda in their second Group A game on Tuesday.

An early header from Faustin Usengimana was enough to give the Rwandans three points and send them to the 2011 World Cup for the first time ever.

In the other group match, Burkina Faso beat Senegal 3-2 to share second place with Egypt with three points.

The Young Pharaohs face a crucial test against Burkina Faso on Friday in an attempt to secure a place in the last four and clinch qualification to the World Cup finals in Mexico this year.
