Zamalek have named teenage goalie Hassan Ibrahim in their CAF Champions League roster after their bid to sign a new keeper before the deadline had failed.

Ibrahim, 17, joins Egypt number one Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed and youngster Mostafa Abdul-Sattar as Zamalek had until January 15 to submit their Champions League squad.

The Whites were in talks with Olympic keeper Mahmoud Abdul-Rahim ‘Gennesh’, but negotiations with the second-tier club came to a dead end recently.

Zamalek handed trials to Palestine duo Ramzi Saleh and Abdullah Saidawi, but none of them managed to impress during the short spell.

The league leaders were left in a critical position after Essam Al-Hadari’s departure to Merreikh of Sudan, following a rift with the team’s management.
