The FA said on its official website the investigation will be conducted out of the governing body’s desire to 'keep Egypt's relationship with the Arab countries intact'.
However, Ibrahim believes that the FA has no right to start such an investigation, referring to a similar incident that took place in an Ahli friendly two years ago.
"The Egyptian FA was responsible for the deterioration of our relationship with a number of Arab countries, including Algeria," he told FilGoal.com.
"Nothing of what happened in UAE could affect Egypt's relationship with the Gulf country.
"Where was the FA when (former Ahli tactician) Hossam Al-Badri refused to leave the pitch after being dismissed by the referee in the (friendly) match against Bayer Leverkusen?
"This game was about to be canceled too and the FA officials did nothing, then why are they too concerned about what happened in our game?"
Last week's match was cancelled after a dispute between Zamalek manager Hossam Hassan and referee Ahmed Mohamed.
An early penalty decision by the Emirati official against the Cairo side seemed to have provoked Hassan, who kept protesting until the half-hour mark.
The tension escalated when Mohamed sent off the 44-year-old, who refused to leave the pitch.
Eventually, the referee called off the game as Iran's Esfahan were one-nil up in Dubai.
In 2009, Al-Badri protested against the referee in a similar manner during Ahli's 2-0 loss to Leverkusen.
The Red Devils were reduced to ten men after Ahmed Al-Sayed was sent off right before the interval for a second bookable offence.
Al-Badri made sure the referee knew he wasn't happy with the decision and the latter responded by sending the tactician to the stands.
The incident resulted in a 15-minute delay to the start of the second half before Leverkusen officials intervened to calm Al-Badri down.
