A first-half strike from midfielder Mile Jedinak lifted the Socceroos, who qualified as group leaders with seven points and a better goal-difference that runners-up South Korea.
The Koreans crushed minnows India 4-1 in the other group game after scoring two goals within the first nine minutes.
Dong Won-Ji scored twice in the match as Ja-Cheol Koo and Heung-Min Son completed the rout.
