Ahli midfielder Ahmed Fathi might take no part in Saturday's league game at MCDR due to a hamstring problem.

"The player didn't participate in Wednesday's training session. it turned out that he's suffering a hamstring strain," Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baki told FilGoal.com.

The Egypt holding midfielder was taken off in the second half of the Nile Basin tournament final with Uganda on Monday, which the Pharaohs won 3-1.

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata said Fathi was substituted because of a hamstring complaint.

"It's not serious but he needs some rest after playing in consecutive matches. Featuring in the MCDR game might cause his injury to be aggravated," Abdul-Baki explained.

Fathi participated in Egypt's all five matches in the Nile Basin tournament, which took place this month.
