The skillful forward has just been dropped from Qatar's Asian Cup squad due to 'lack of concentration', shortly after the hosts advanced to the competition's quarter-finals.
Yasser played for 60 minutes in Qatar's first game with Uzbekistan and was hugely disappointing as the Gulf side succumbed to a 2-0 defeat.
He was then left out of the team sheet in the next two group games against China and Kuwait, which the Qataris won 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.
Zamalek also included right-back Ahmed Samir and Algerian striker Mohamed Aoudia in their 20-man squad. Both men joined the Cairo side this winter.
Duo Sabri Rahil and Mohamed Ashour didn't make the list.
