Ahli are pondering a loan offer from Egyptian league strugglers Wadi Degla for striker Mohamed Talaat, football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz revealed.

“Degla want Talaat on loan until the end of the season, and the offer will be considered by the football committee on Thursday,” Abdul-Hafiz told the club’s website.

Despite being handed a surprise start by ex-manager Zizo in the Cairo derby against Zamalek last month, Talaat doesn’t seem to feature in Manuel Jose’s plans.

The youngster, along with Egypt mate Ahmed Shokri, was recently relegated to the U-21 team upon the request of the Portuguese tactician.

Meanwhile, Ahli confirmed that newly-promoted youngster Hussein Ghoneim will miss Friday’s clash with Police Union after picking up an ankle injury on his debut with MCDR.
