Ismaili and Egypt midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou is ready to do anything to aid the people’s ‘legitimate’ uprising, stressing that footballers are not unaware of what’s happening in the country.

“I am in full support of the people’s legitimate demands, because many Egyptians are living in some very difficult conditions,” Abd-Rabou told FilGoal.com.

“Some people think that footballers aren’t aware of the reality in the streets, but the truth is that most of us originally come from poor families and thus we understand the people’s suffering.

“Many youth are well-educated and yet they cannot find any suitable jobs.

“I am ready to do anything in support of the uprising, but I haven’t yet decided how.”

Abd-Rabou’s future with Ismaili is still in doubt as he insists on an EGP 5-million-a-year-contract to extend his stay with the coastal club.

The 26-year-old runs out of contract by the end of the season.
