The Egyptian Premier League matches will not be played without supporters in the stands, confirmed FA official Amer Hussein.

The second half of the 2010-2011 season has been postponed indefinitely due to security concerns in the wake of the uprising that took place all over Egypt recently.

While some clubs, including Ismaili, suggested resuming matches behind closed doors, the proposal seems to have been dismissed by the Egyptian FA.

“Those who suggested that matches should start behind closed doors simply have personal benefits, this is inappropriate,” competition’s committee chief Hussein told FilGoal.com.

“It is more logic that if there are security men who can prevent people from going into stadiums, then they would rather allow them and then provide them with safety!”
