The domestic competition has been shut down since the events of Egypt’s public revolution last month and speculation began that the 2010-2011 could be entirely called off.
Even though all clubs agreed on resuming the competition as soon as possible, the Egyptian FA couldn’t come to a decision regarding the restart date.
“The fact that the FA remained undecided about the date raises doubts that the season could be called off,” Ismaili assistant coach Ahmed Qenawi told FilGoal.com.
“The players are starting to get worried and their motivation level in training is affected by the uncertainty.”
Ismaili, whose next fixture will be against Sofapaka of Kenya in the Confederation Cup, are only three points adrift of league leaders Zamalek with half the season remaining.
