Tunisia and Angola will vie for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) title after booking their place in the final of the biennial competition.

Angola beat hosts Sudan 4-2 on penalties on Wednesday, following a 1-1 full-time draw in Omdurman.

The match was marred by violence, mainly from the home side, who had captain Haitham Mostafa sent off in extra time for assaulting two players from Angola.

Moreover, the home fans threw bottles into the pitch in anger of their team’s loss.

Despite the recent political turmoil, Tunisia managed to make the final after edging North African neighbors Algeria on penalties earlier this week.

The CHAN tournament is organized by CAF exclusively for local-based players as it takes place for the second time this year.

Two years ago, DR Congo were crowned champions after beating Ghana in the Ivory Coast finals.
