Mohamed Moselhi resigned as Ittihad president while three board members stepped down too in the wake of clashes between club members and protesting fans Friday.

A crowd of the Alexandrian team's supporters congregated in front of the club's headquarters, calling for a boardroom reshuffle.

The angry protestors hurled rocks at the premises of the club later, hence a brawl erupted.

"Moselhi, vice president Ali Seif, Ashraf Sedki and Zeinab Mahmoud have already quit," general manger Gasser Mounir told FilGoal.com.

Ittihad, who are languishing at the bottom of the Egyptian Premier League table with 11 points, suffered a string of poor results in the first half of the season.

They only won a couple of matches out of 15 and slumped to eight losses.
