Harras Hodoud winger Ahmed Eid is set for a knee operation which will rule him out of Egypt’s qualifier against South Africa this month.

The 30-year-old sustained the injury in a friendly match with Ismaili and is set for a three-week layoff.

“Eid has a cartilage problem and will have surgery on Monday. He will be out for three weeks,” Hodoud doctor Reda Al-Homeimi told FilGoal.com.

Eid will miss Hodoud’s African Confederation Cup tie against Ethiopia’s Dedebit on the 18th of March as well.
