“I couldn’t argue with them after their decision. Players can be patient with late wages, but their home rents should have been paid,” Ittihad coach Mohamed Amer told FilGoal.com.
“We were supposed to have a friendly match with Raja on Tuesday but I cancelled it because of the problem. I hope the matter will be resolved soon.”
The other players include foreigners Marc Mboua and Felix Awoa, in addition to non-Alexandria residents Mohamed Gaber, Ahmed Ali, Sayed Farid and Mohamed Al-Morsi.
Ittihad have been facing several managerial problems this season, which saw them finish the first half of the league campaign bottom of the table.
The problems escalated with the recent resignation of chairman Mohamed Moselhi, who was a member of the National Democratic Party of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak’s regime.
