South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune hopes that moving the Egypt game from Soccer City Stadium to Ellis Park would encourage more fans to support Bafana Bafana in this month’s crucial qualifier.

“It’s a shame that we aren’t playing at FNB, but going to Ellis Park means that the crowd are closer to the pitch so hopefully Egypt will feel intimidated,” he told Kickoff.com.

“As long as we are playing at home and have the supporters behind you, what more can we ask for? It’s our home advantage so we have to pick up three points.

“We are all looking forward to the Egypt game. As you know, we are on top of the group and we can’t afford to slip up because then we will be out. We have to win every game, whether it’s home or away.”

South Africa lead the group with four points from two games, whereas African champions Egypt are bottom with a single point.
