Ahli assistant coach Mohamed Youssef tips striker Dominique da Silva to be a discovery signing, but concedes that the Mauritanian is vulnerable to losing his temper.

Dominique impressed during Ahli’s recent friendly tour, which saw him score five goals in four games for the Red Devils.

However, the 21-year-old was unnecessarily sent off for an off-the-ball incident in the 3-0 win over MCDR, raising eyebrows over his attitude on the pitch.

“Dominique caught the eye in recent matches,” Youssef, who used to work with Manuel Jose’s predecessors Hossam Al-Badri and Zizo, told FilGoal.com.

“He is a discovery for us, given his pace and ability to deal with defenses.

“But his overenthusiasm could lead him to losing his temper, that’s why the manager relies on experienced players to stand by him.

“We cannot predict the success or failure of any player, but I can say that a lot is expected from Dominique.”
