Ahli claimed a 2-0 first-leg victory in Cairo after taking advantage of their opponents’ failure to convert a host of chances in the round of 32 tie.
"In the build-up to this game people spoke about them as if they were invincible but in fact they played like an ordinary team," Hunt told Kickoff.com.
"We dominated them in their back yard.
"Kermit Erasmus missed golden opportunities, Morgan Gould hit the crossbar and Tebogo Langerman wasted a one-on-one golden opportunity to get that elusive away goal.
"We can overturn this deficit, if we play the way we did, why not? We were the better side in Cairo we just have to ensure that they don’t score or else they will kill off the contest with an away goal.
"What I can say is that I’m proud of the guys and I believe that they can cause an upset in Polokwane and come up with a plan to beat them."
Rusty
With a handful of Ahli players in the Egypt squad facing South Africa next week, Hunt tips Bafana to down the African champions in the crucial qualifier.
"They are rusty and Bafana can take advantage,” added the Supersport manager.
South Africa coach Pitso Mosimane worked with Supersport between 2001 and 2007.
