Zamalek decided to sanction most of their players after losing 1-0 to a lower division side on Monday.

Zamalek were surprisingly downed by Eastern Company in a friendly match held as part of the Cairo giants' preparations for their CAF Champions League match with Club Africain.

Consequently, the Whites decided to fine all players who featured in the game and oblige them to take part in an extra training session.

"All players who participated in the match will be fined EGP 3,000 each and will also train twice on Tuesday as a technical punishment," Zamalek's football director Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com.

Zamalek have to beat Africain in Cairo by at least a two-goal margin in order to reach the Champions League round of 16, as they lost 4-2 at the Tunisian outfit in the first leg.
