The 27-year-old missed the 4-2 first-leg defeat due to his troublesome knee and his chances of a comeback in the return leg seem to be dashed.
“I will not take part in the Africain game. The management fears that the injury could be aggravated,” Zaki told FilGoal.com.
Zaki’s knee setback saw him miss long spells of the season for Zamalek and Egypt; the last of which was the Pharaohs defeat to South Africa.
The former Wigan striker will fly to Germany this month in an attempt to check up on the nagging injury.
Meanwhile, Zamalek football director Ibrahim Hassan has confirmed that he will open talks with star midfielder Shikabala over a new contract immediately after the Africain game.
Shikabala’s current contract expires in January 2012 and the 24-year-old is expected to put to paper on a lucrative deal with the Cairo club.
