Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed has patched things up with Zamalek football director Ibrahim Hassan following the recent turmoil, chairman Galal Ibrahim has confirmed.

The problem took place when Abdul-Wahed led a group of 12 Zamalek players into filing a complaint against the club over unpaid wages.

The veteran keeper was then stripped of the captaincy armband by Hassan, before threatening to leave the club.

However, it seems that things are getting back to normal inside the Zamalek camp ahead of Thursday’s Egyptian Premier League encounter with Harras Hodoud.

Apology

“Abdul-Wahed took the initiative and apologized to Hassan and the captaincy problem will be resolved soon,” interim president Ibrahim told FilGoal.com.

Chairman Ibrahim also revealed that he held a meeting with the team to clear the air, following the recent wage problem.

It remains to be seen whether Hassan will insist on stripping Abdul-Wahed of the Zamalek captaincy though.
