Ahli allowed Ahmed Shokri to have a trial with Hoffenheim because the Bundesliga club seemed serious in their approach to sign the midfielder, said team coordinator Hadi Khashaba.

Shokri flied to Germany on Tuesday for a one-week trial at Rhein-Neckar Arena after he got an approval from manager Manuel Jose.

“We accepted the proposal because Hoffenheim were serious about their interest in Shokri,” Khashaba told Ahli’s website.

Khashaba revealed that in case Shokri impressed in his trial, Hoffenheim are willing to pay €1million for his services.
