Zamalek manager Hossam Hassan fainted after his side’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Petrojet on Wednesday, but has then recovered to attend the post-match conference.

According to FilGoal’s correspondent in Suez, Hassan was overjoyed with the victory as he ‘cried hysterically’ before the Zamalek fans, after which he fell unconscious.

But the 44-year-old then recovered to talk to the press at the Suez Stadium.

Hassan appeared to be in raptures after Ahmed Gaafar scored the winning goal for the Whites in the 95th minute, shortly after Hassan Mostafa had equalized.

“I was really scared to lose this game after Mahmoud Fathallah missed that first half penalty,” said the Egypt legend.

“But we managed to come back and beat one of the best teams in the league and we got past a tough hurdle away from home.”

Hassan led Zamalek to beating Petrojet 3-2 last season in another thrilling match in Suez.
