The bus was attacked near the gate of Ismailia. All windows were shattered but miraculously no one got injured.
"All of a sudden, we found a large group of youths hurling rocks at our bus," Ahli striker Osama Hosni told FilGoal.com.
"The windscreen and the side windows were all smashed. We could have died in that incident and I don't know what people want from us."
The game was preceded by a mass brawl between Masri's fans and their Ahli counterparts on the streets of Port Said.
Football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz also revealed that Ahli's bus had been stoned on Thursday upon the arrival of the Red Devils in the coastal city.
"Do they want us to die so as they feel comfortable and live happily ever after? The last 48 hours were terrible!" Hosni said.
