Zidan delighted at Bundesliga triumph, reveals Ahli ambition

Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan expressed delight at his team's Bundesliga triumph Saturday and revealed his desire to join Cairo giants Ahli after seeing out his contract with the German outfit.

Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan expressed delight at his team's Bundesliga triumph Saturday and revealed his desire to join Cairo giants Ahli after seeing out his contract with the German outfit.

The international ace became the first Egyptian player to win the Bundesliga after Dortmund beat Nurnberg 2-0 on Saturday.

Zidan, 29, said he was ecstatic after the match. He told Dream TV: "I feel great happiness for winning one of the most powerful leagues in the world.

"I would like to dedicate this victory to my son Adam."

The highly-rated front-man celebrated Dortmund's triumph along with his baby son on the pitch after the match.

Ahli the Right Place

Speaking of his plans, Zidan revealed: "I want to join Ahli upon the termination of my deal with Dortmund.

"I'm looking forward to ending my footballing career with a domestic title. I think Ahli is the right place for me to achieve this goal."

Zidan, whose contract with Dortmund runs out by the end of next season, came through the youth ranks of Masri.

He kicked off his professional career in Denmark, where he plied his trade at Akademisk Boldklub and Midtjylland.

Later on, Zidan played for several German teams in Werder Bremen, Mainz, Hamburg and Dortmund.
