The Egyptian FA will allow exceptional extensions to Egyptian Premier League players’ contracts due to run out by the end of June.

Several clubs will see players’ contracts expiring by the end of June, one month before the final day of the season, which has been stretched in the wake of the January 25 Revolution.

“Due to the exceptional situation the country has come through, we decided to extend the contracts of players until the end of the season,” FA official Ahmed Al-Dabe told FilGoal.com.

Ahli midfielder Ahmed Hassan and Zamalek defender Mahmoud Fathallah are among the most notable names who are due to run out of contracts by the end of the season.
