Zaki, the Whites’ first-choice striker, is set to make his comeback from injury after spending most of the season on the sidelines.
While he has been deputizing for the Egypt international, Gaafar doesn’t seem to be bothered with the imminent return of his strike partner.
“Zaki is an influential player. We missed him during the past few months and I think his return would be a great addition to Zamalek’s attack,” Gaafar said.
“The presence of Zaki and Mido will ignite a competition between strikers and thus the team will benefit.”
Gaafar scored six goals for Zamalek so far this term, including that crucial winner against Petrojet last month.
Meanwhile, Zamalek are set to regain the services of full-back Ahmed Samir, who was out of action since mid-April due to a hamstring injury.
