Ismaili host Arab Contractors on Sunday hoping they can replicate the vintage performance which saw them stroll to an historic 5-1 victory two years ago.

A vital victory, the highest over Contractors, was coupled by total football in the 2008-2009 season, where the Dervishes missed out on the league title after eventually losing 1-0 to Ahli in a playoff match.

The then-Ricardo Ferreira side were a goal down after just ten minutes, but everything changed on the half-hour mark, with Omar Gamal paving way for a magnificent quintet.

Mohamed Abou-Greisha headed in the second before half time as Ahmed Khairi grabbed a rare double after the break, courtesy of a terrific team goal and an unstoppable long-range effort.

It was Mohamed Hommos’ fifth goal that stole the limelight though as the Egypt international put the icing on the cake with a strong contender for goal of the season.
