Ismaili have confirmed that their Egyptian Premier League clash with MCDR has been moved from Fayoum for security reasons.

“We received a notification from the FA that the game was moved from Fayoum, and now we are waiting to learn about the new location of the match,” Ismaili chairman Nassr Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com.

The game, scheduled for next weekend, is now likely to be played at Arab Contractors Stadium in Cairo.

Ismaili requested moving the game from Fayoum to Cairo earlier this month, calling for an ‘equal chance’ with Ahli and Zamalek.

The FA responded negatively, stressing that the Cairo duo played MCDR away from Fayoum due to security reasons not because of a request.

The Fayoum Stadium is the smallest among Egyptian Premier League venues.

In the same context, Monday's game between Petrojet and Police Union in Suez has been postponed to next month.

The decision of the FA's Competitions' Committee came following an order from the authorities regarding the security of Suez Stadium.
