Ahli coach Manuel Jose has included 17-year-old striker Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub in his squad for Monday’s league game with Wadi Degla, while Mohamed Shawky has been ruled out.

Mahgoub earned the call-up after scoring a hat-trick for the Ahli U-17s against Zamalek in a thumping 6-2 victory last week.

Egypt youth team defender Rami Rabiea was also back in the squad for the first time since December as Ahmed Nabil ‘Manga’ returned from injury.

Egypt midfielder Shawky was ruled out after sustaining a knee injury in the recent win over Ittihad, even so he remained on the pitch for the whole game.

Mohamed Abou-Treika, Ahmed Shokri, Emad Meteb continue to miss out for the defending champions due to injury, while Hossam Ashour is suspended.

Ahli squad:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Aboul-Saoud, Ahmed Adel

Defenders: Ahmed Al-Sayed, Sherif Abdul-Fadil, Wael Gomaa, Sayed Moawad, Ahmed Fathi, Rami Rabiea, Ayman Ashraf

Midfielders: Ahmed Hassan, Manga, Moataz Eno, Mohamed Barakat, Amir Sayoud, Shehab Ahmed

Strikers: Osama Hosni, Geddo, Dominique da Silva, Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub
