The Egyptian FA's Football Committee announced that Ittihad's league game with Wadi Degla, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to security concerns until June 15.

"The match was put off because of security reasons," committee head Amer Hussein told FilGoal.com.

Another league game between Petrojet and Police Union had been earlier postponed.

FilGoal.com understands that the reason why Ittihad's home match with Degla was delayed is that the trial of policemen accused of killing Khaled Saied is to resume on Saturday.

Saied is the most famous victim of police brutality in Egypt.

According to eyewitnesses, he was literally lynched by two plain-clothes policemen who beat him to death in Alexandria before pedestrians nearly a year ago.

The death of Saied was met by wrath across the nation and is believed to be one of the reasons behind the Janaury-25 Revolution, which resulted in the overthrow of former president Hosni Mubarak.
