Mohamed Abou-Treika revealed why he has been arguing with referee Abdul-Kader Morsi right after the 2-2 draw with Military Production on Friday.

The Ahli star was caught while saying something to the ref inside the Cairo Stadium tunnel, following the dramatic home draw.

“I did not attack him or yell at him. I just saw him swearing on his way out, so I asked him: Are you insulting Ahli fans? He said: No, I am insulting these, and pointed to the reporters’ cabin,” Treika told FilGoal.com.

“I am not afraid if his report condemns me. I did nothing wrong and I always have faith in God to get me out of trouble.”

Referee Morsi, who awarded Production a 90th minute penalty, left the pitch under the guidance of security guards as he narrowly evaded objects thrown by angry Ahli fans.

The Cairo club filed a complaint to the FA on Saturday over the ref's perfromance, hinting at the possibility of calling foreign officials for their remaining matches.
