Zamalek striker Mohamed Aoudia paid tribute to his manager Hossam Hassan after scoring his first league goal for the league leaders.

The Algerian came off the bench to head in Zamalek’s second goal in Saturday’s 3-2 thriller at Arab Contractors, much to the delight of the many Whites’ supporters questioning his ability.

“Hossam Hassan never stopped backing me to perform well, even when I got injured,” Aoudia told FilGoal.com.

“I hope to win the league title for the Zamalek fans this season and I assure them that I will prove to be useful signing to the team.”

Despite the crucial strike, television replays showed that Aoudia was in an offside position before beating Contractors keeper Mohamed Al-Akabawi.

The former JS Kabylie forward, who was booked after taking off his shirt during the goal celebration, was also lucky not to be sent off after shoving an opposition shortly after.
