Mido has been given the green light to play for Zamalek by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to end his registration saga, the Cairo club said on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old re-joined his old club on a free transfer in January, only to be prevented from featuring for the team due to a registration problem in the wake of the Egyptian Revolution.
Zamalek initially had an appeal turned down by FIFA, but their attempt with CAS eventually turned successful.
The league leaders’ official site also stated that CAS agreed to send a permanent transfer certificate for the striker, rather than a temporary one as initially suggested.
“The decision from CAS came with respect to the circumstances in Egypt,” said Zamalek chairman Galal Ibrahim.
Mido should now be available for selection in the Cairo derby against Ahli later this month.
