Mido, who joined in January, is still not cleared to play for Zamalek due to registration problems but he watched from the stands as his teammates beat Police Union 3-1 on Thursday.

"I told the players in the break that the title will pick men not boys," he told Alhayat TV following the game.

Zamalek was one down but scored three times in the second period to keep their place on top of the league table.

"They manned up in the second period and deserved the three points," the former Tottenham man said.

"This comeback didn't only lead to tonight's victory but will lead to the title."
