The 21-year-old midfielder has yet to make a single appearance under Jose, even though he played some part with the Portuguese’s predecessors Hossam Al-Badri and Zizo.
“I am not being treated unfairly. In fact I’ve been struggling with a stomach pain since the second half of the season had started,” Shokri told FilGoal.com.
“The best thing about Jose is that he is fair. There is no difference between young and old. The pitch settles it.
“For example when you look to someone like Abdul-Hamid Shabana, he was out of Jose’s plans, then he got the chance and succeeded.”
Midfielder Shabana has hardly played for Ahli this season, yet he scored a crucial 94th-minute equalizer for the Reds in last month’s draw with Military Production.
Shehab unhappy
Midfielder Shehab Ahmed hardly shares the same opinion as his Egypt youth teammate, indicating that he could be leaving Ahli by the end of the season.
“I was a regular last season and during the first half of this season, but since Jose’s arrival it’s been different,” the 22-year-old said.
“I am doing my best but it seems I am out of the manager’s plans, which makes me unhappy because I love the club.
“If it remained like that, I will ask to be transferred at the end of the season because I don’t want to become a player with no role.”
Shehab scored a number of vital goals for Ahli last year, most notable his cracking winner against Libya’s Ittihad in the 2010 Champions League.
